Is biryani the only Indian food debate that can actually start a civil war?

Regional pride, rice style, potato politics and spice doctrine can turn one dinner table into a constitutional crisis. Does biryani deserve this emotional intensity because it is that elite, or have we collectively decided that arguing about it is now a national pastime in itself?
